Elysianne Ne'Alic
Thread Roulette
The sunkissed light brown hair was braided back in an elaborate braid, courtesy of one of the other Novices, and her pretty blue eyes seems to show a disapproval as she shifted through the contents of the bag. Pursing her lips, Elysianne was unimpressed not only with the findings, but also with the simple fact that this was not hers. Her bag had at least two silk ribbons, her notes in perfect penmenship for all her classes, the books she needed and another little book at the bottom of the bag with a small list of names. Nothing unique or special, but something that was still important to her.
"Well, poppy bread!" A noble, hopeful royal, did not swear silly oaths. She unceremoniously dumped the bag and riffled through a second time, noting anything interesting, and then stuffed it all back in. When was the last time she had set her bag down? The novice wasn't sure. She had not needed to go in her bag for a few of her classes and in all of them she didn't need anything in them, nor did she need her notes. That and no one seemed to have gone looking for their bag as it meant that she had someone else's.
"I guess I'll just have to retrace my steps." She muttered aloud, and picked up the back, only slightly indignant that she had to carry someone else's stuff. It wasn't hers, but she figured that a trip to the Mistress of Novices for a 'stolen bag' was not worth the hassle if she didn't return it, even though clearly this mix up was not her fault. Surely some other girl wanted her ribbons, or her notes! They were expensive and her work was always perfect.
And with that, Elysianne started towards the classrooms in hopes of finding her own bag, or perhaps the person who so unthoughtfully had taken hers.
This isn't Mine!? [Attn: Kaci]

Re: This isn't Mine!? [Attn: Kaci]
Kaci stared at the ribbons in her hands as if they were going to tell her why they were in her bag. Kaci did not own ribbons. She had been fairly certain that she was allergic to ribbons, but this proved that she was not. Still. Silk ribbons in her bag were a strange site. She set them to the side, letting them settle into the grass, and dug into the bag. She wanted to read that strategy book that a Brown had suggested to her when she had complained that all her readings for history class were too boring.
Thrusting her hand into the bag, she grabbed the first book-shaped thing she felt, and...it was far too small for the book she had borrowed. Taking it out, she made a face. This was another article that she was unfamiliar with.
She was no White, but she was pretty sure that she had someone else's bag.
Someone who wore ribbons.
Her eyes went back to the silky things on the grass, and she felt a pang of guilt. She didn't like ribbons, but that didn't mean that they weren't special to someone else. As she picked them back up and wiped them free of any dirt that she couldn't see, but surely this other person might, she remembered a few of her fellow novices mentioning that her long red twin braids would look "pretty" in green ribbons. They then giggled and said it was too bad that she was still a novice and white would have to do. The giggling novices had descended upon her with evil intent, ribbons in hand, but she had been resourceful. Being about half a foot taller than the both of them, she had simply raised her braids above her head and walked away. An easy victory, to be sure.
She put the ribbons and the book back in the bag and hoped to the Light that the person who owned this bag wasn't one of the novices that had tried to ribbon her. With a grunt, she stood up and started back the way she had come.

Elysianne Ne'Alic
She wandered, her hair and it's braid bouncing down her back as she flounced her way through the tower Classrooms. It took a while before she realized that the extraordinarily tall girl in the Novice Whites was the subject of her search. Regarding her carefully, Elysianne decided that she was not of Noble stature, but didn't have the false arrogance of that mother milk sob Rhykana. At least this one seems to look uncomfortable in the white dress. Granted, these white woolen dresses were horrible for her skin.
"Excuse me." She chimed up politely, melodious and sweet. "I think I have something that is yours, and you have something of mine?" She held up the white satchel with the books, hoping that this girl had her ribbons. "Although, I'll admit I was tempted to borrow one of your books. Are you interested in the Green Ajah too?"

Re: This isn't Mine!? [Attn: Kaci]
Kaci kept an eye out for someone who looked like they either had the wrong bag or were acting sneaky. She honestly wouldn't have been mad if someone had stolen her bag. She made it a point never to be mad. Everyone in the Warder's Yard found that hilarious that someone who liked to fight as much as she did never got mad. No matter how much she was egged on by her opponent, insulted, or harassed, she just didn't care. It wasn't anything to get mad about, and neither was a nicked bag.
She found a nice flow of novices and soldiers, but after seeing no sign of her bag in the passing crowd after they had gone, she sighed and scratched her head in thought. What had become of her bag? She didn't get mad, but that wouldn't mean the Brown in the Library who had gone out of her way to find her book wouldn't be if she didn't return it eventually.
"Excuse me."
Turning toward the voice, she found a fellow novice, who quickly explained that they had each other's bags. She smiled and happily exchanged them, and was a bit surprised when the other girl said that she liked her choices in reading material. Kaci laughed. "I know I'm supposed to be giving my future Ajah a lot of thought and serious consideration, but I think the prospect of me entering any other Ajah besides the Green is laughable. I've nothing against the others, but I like swordplay too much." She lowered her voice a bit when she saw an Aes Sedai and Asha'man passing by. "Which book were you considering borrowing? One of them...well...I'm on strict orders to read all the way through, because a certain Brown is convinced it will make history more enjoyable for me."

"Oh, I think it was the book on History actually." Elysianne blushed prettily as she took a quick note of what was in it. Nothing seemed to be missing, and judging by the girl it did not look like she needed to worry. "Most books I find are pretty dry but some of the histories on various battles and political figures are interesting. Sometimes the different tactics they use to help turn battles are interesting, especially when they don't use Saidar or Saidin, because of the Oaths we will one day take of course."
The girl looked uncomfortable, and Elysianne wondered thoughtfully how she could use this girl. If she seemed to think that the Green Ajah was her only option then it was an easy bet that this girl was a brawler. She could use a bodyguard around that milksop Rhykana. Going out on a limb, Elysianne hoped that this calculation would get her a much needed 'friend' to help her. A boon given... "If you would like, I can help you with your history if you.." she pushed the brightness in her cheeks a little more as if to sound embarrassed, "could maybe teach me to fight? I don't think I know a sword from one end to the next!"

Re: This isn't Mine!? [Attn: Kaci]
Kaci nodded along with the girl as she explained what made history interesting to her. This all made sense. Maybe if she could equate some of the strategies used in the books to strategies she used in swordplay. She had had to change so much about the way she thought since coming here. Now it almost felt like the dress she was forced to wear didn't feel like a drape around her legs. Almost.
"Well, I'm not sure about politics and dancing around oaths, but battles are definitely interesting to me. Not sure what to make of them when they're just words on a page quite yet." She raised an eyebrow when the other novice suggested she teach her swordplay in exchange for helping Kaci with her homework. "Hmmm..." She twisted her mouth in thought. It wasn't any of her business by a long shot, but why would a girl like this want to learn how to fight? If Aes Sedai needed training, they usually waited until they had the shawl. Kaci was told nearly every day just how unusual a case she was for wanting to train in the sword.
She had a feeling, but she wasn't sure... "Having bullying problems?" she asked. "I'm not entirely sure it would be...accepted for me to teach someone else the sword quite yet. Never really thought of myself as a teacher, either. How about I hang around you and look intimidating occasionally?"

"No, and yes." She admitted, carefully thinking through her words. "There are some that I do not get along with but i can hold my own against them fine enough. But if someone were to swing at me," She held up her delicate hands that were already starting to show wear from scrubbing dish pots and floors. Inwardly she was cringing at it's lack of perfection and how her nails lacked any delicate paint that she so dearly loved. "I was brought up to use these only for delicate work. Lace weaving and perhaps holding a light book. Never for the things of the Tower."
She gave a shrug. "I have seen other Novices being taught, and I honestly haven't had the courage to ask anyone to teach me. I suppose I was hoping I wouldn't have to since I will one day have many warders to guard me. But I am not Aes Sedai yet and it is a long way off." She grasped the other girls hand. "Please? Will you teach me? I would be in your debt and most grateful if you could teach me just a few things. Defensive things. Please?"
Edit: sorry, i didn't meant to bump, but bump? lol <3 No rush.
