Hello, Tower People!

Well, this one of my all-time favorite things to do: awards season! I know, you're saying, Didn't we just do awards? And the answer would be, well, yes, sort of. However, your hardworking admin team has decided to start doing things a little bit different. We know it can be hard to keep all the awesome writing that goes on around here in mind for a long time, so community awards are now bi-monthly!

Every two months, there will be a five-day nomination period followed by a five-day voting period. The community will nominate and then the community will choose.

Meanwhile, admin-determined awards are going to be quarterly. We who watch over the Tower and see all the awesomeness will pick admin-determined awards to be given out for those who go even over and above the usual level of epic. The next admin-award round will take place in June. For now, community!

This nomination period will last from today, March 29th, until Monday, April 3rd at 11:59PM EST.

Once the nomination period closes, all qualified nominations--meaning those that meet the description of the award--will be brought to the vote. Not every nomination may make it to the vote, and not every voting option may get voted in. There may be some periods where we don't have many or any awards, and that's okay! But there's lots of great stuff and we look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I love awards. I'd like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to nominate someone, even if it's just one person. You don't have to fill out every field on the form. <3

I second what Marla said. Go nominate! We want to know what you think! The more people that nominate, the more we recognize our fellow writers!

You can also nominate for yourself, and this is way more fun (and very amusing) when lots of people participate. <3
