The Grey Tower

There was a short period, in the deadest black of night, when nothing stirred in the halls of the Grey Tower. The servants that worked after the Aes Sedai had retired to their rooms were now snug in their own beds, and those that would rise before the first Gaidin stepped into the yards had yet to stir. Just a short period of time, no more than half of an hourglass, but in those precious minutes just about anything could happen, and no-one would be any the wiser.

Evil once more threatens to engulf the Grey Tower. Only nine months after the Second Seanchan Siege, with Hama Valon finally rebuilt after its near destruction, another disaster comes to shake the foundations of the Grey Tower. This time however, the blame cannot be levelled at foreign armies, as the act could only have been undertaken by those with the One Power. Is the Grey Tower under attack from the White or Black Towers, or has the oft-rumoured Black Ajah finally been roused from its slumber and decided to act? No matter who the guilty parties are, the Grey Tower will not let these crimes go unanswered. The guilty will be found, and heads will roll.
This is both the announcement and signup thread for the next Major Roleplay (MRP). Unlike Winds of Chaos which was rather freeform, The Children will be more focused. The main strokes of the storyline are already in place; it's a case of getting the actors together, and to see how the journey unfolds towards its planned conclusion, instead of presenting an open-ended question for people to answer.

Normally I'd just ask for people to post below with their interest (and I'll still appreciate if you did!) but there is also this Google Form which has three questions for you. I don't want the answers to be public knowledge (#spoilers!) because this MRP is going to have a number of surprises in it! I'm hoping people will enjoy the ride!

I'm interested, but I'm about to start school and I have no way of knowing how that's going to go. Do you have a tentative OOC timespan for this?

The turnout thus far as been pretty incredible, so it could be as early as next weekend. There are a couple of regular RP threads that need to be tied up before we can launch the MRP, so it's partially a question of how soon those threads get written.

As far as length goes, I'd like to see each Act last three to four weeks, with three or four acts in total. But that's solely my opinion (I'm not the sole architect of the MRP).
