Black Ajah News
I haven't had the time to write this out, and neither am I sure that I want to put the effort into writing it, but Emmond was injured in the MRP. Did he lose a leg? An arm? I'm not sure, but whatever disability he has is up for discussion!
Also, Craig and Matty, whatever you have planned in the Bad Seed... well, let's just say that there's blood in the water and the sharks are circling.
What Black Ajah shenanigans do you think should happen now? I'm also wondering if we should flesh out the other members of the Supreme Council a little more. Ideas and discussion are welcome.

Re: Black Ajah News
And here comes a sentence I didn't think I'd write: Elia is a shark.
Elia's motivation in Bad Seed is simple. "What is the Black Ajah doing?" Nothing, in her opinion. I want the Black Ajah to be actively causing problems. Not chaos - this isn't a bunch of novices pulling pranks. I want the Black Ajah to be a genuine thorn in the Grey Tower's side. Ideally an open wound. And yes, I very much expect that at some point through this, Elia's head will roll. Actions have consequences, and ever since Elia got into bed with Mirin (figuratively, ofc), I've anticipated her untimely demise.
I don't actually want Elia to be any more senior in the BA hierarchy. We both want to see some action, but the 'lack of action' needs to be accounted for IC, and the 'gearing up' into being an active agent against the Grey Tower was also something I wanted to write out. A lot of people see Elia as a very two-dimensional character. This way, there's a hope that people will understand where she's coming from and why.
The plan from Bad Seed, if it isn't already clear, is for Elia to ally up with Murdock to unseat Emmond. Elia will be coming to Mirin as well, mostly looking for the same thing. I don't know what happens immediately after that, but step four should be the Black Ajah being an issue. Angreal going missing from the Vaults; maybe some people disappearing; corrupting the youth too, maybe? Oh great, now I've got the Hitler Youth in my head...

Re: Black Ajah News
I love having the BA do things! The BA has already been making people disappear and corrupting the youth for a while. I like the idea of the BA manipulating events and stuff, too.
Unseating Emmond will be a LOT of fun, I think. I can't wait for Mirin to express her angst!!

Re: Black Ajah News
So, the things from yesterday were:
Also, with gentled Emmond, is he still bound by the Oaths? Can he, out of vengeance, expose members of the Black Ajah still at the Tower *cough-Elia-Mirin-cough* Not that he'd necessarily be believed, especially as he's naming the Mistress of Novices and a Sitter of the Hall. But it could cast reasonable suspicion.
- Emmond getting blinded (somehow?)
- Seonid and Avyra being used to expose Emmond for the nasty, nasty Darkfriend he is.
- Emmond gets gentled.
- The Black Ajah starts being more active?

Re: Black Ajah News
I was thinking that Emmond was injured in the MRP defending the Tower. He wouldn't know that he was betrayed, so vengeance may not be necessary. I intend for Mirin's part in their plot to be very subtle, so that Avyra and Seonin appear to figure everything out themselves.
But by herself, Mirin would not do this unless something pushed her to... something that showed Emmond was slipping. She knows that Elia and Murdock may be involved, but does not know anything of their current role or plots. I wonder what this "something" could be?

Re: Black Ajah News
Elia's main bone of contention is the inaction of the Black Ajah. Like, that's the entirety of her argument against the leadership: they ain't doing anything. And Emmond just so happens to be the only person she knows (aside from Mirin) who's above her in the hierarchy.
Elia is not a willing Darkfriend, but she's bound to the Black Ajah now, so there's this "Well, let's knuckle down and get on with it" attitude from her. The way out is through.

Re: Black Ajah News
Mirin would feel insulted and a little alarmed. Part of the BA's survival strategy is secrecy, which necessitates the appearance of inactivity. Also, she would have expected that Elia would be smart enough to realize that, just because she doesn't know everything that goes on doesn't mean other people aren't doing things. People disappear from the Tower or are found dead in their sleep all the time.
However, she would listen to Elia's ideas. Mirin knows the world is changing and that the BA must change with it. We should just RP this conversation out lol.

Re: Black Ajah News
Oh, of course. Elia isn't about to emerge from the Vaults armed with various ter'angreal and blasting a path through the Grey Tower (although having just written that, it would be a glorious way to kill her off, all guns ablazin'). But she is driven to doing something. And I'm more than happy if things do not go her way. She is ambitious, vain, doesn't like people being better than her - but that doesn't mean her abilities match that desired self-image.
This is definitely something we can work on, OOC and through RP. I'm not getting ahead of myself here, but I'm definitely just spouting out ideas instead of concrete plans.

I think this conversation is great as a next step to rp out. Timeline would be with the MRP done, everyone knows Emmond has been blinded, Mirin has just recovered from her injuries. I'm ready to write it whenever you like!
Edit: I also think Elia blasting out of the vaults would be glorious hahaha!

Re: Black Ajah News
The two things stopping me kicking off a new thread immediately is the "Bad Seed" thread (which should have led into this one with Elia and Mirin), and working out what is going on with Elia's/Rav's bond.
But yeah, I can figure that out. Where do you want this conversation?
