Questions about Herbcraft

I want to preface this with the fact that I just started GED classes and I've learned I have to do 2-3.5 hours a day for four days every week. So I'm not looking to start it NOW. I won't start any new threads until I finish my current four... But in a month or so I want to do some herbcraft points for Caddoc. I've noticed there's no teacher though. So here's my questions:

Would someone be willing to teach Cadoc his first point and, if so, can I then write a class and use that teaching to get other point(s)?

Since the move to Masteries, there is no longer "points" or anything like that. In taking the class, he would in effect learn the skills necessary, and while you wouldn't get a shiny on his Bio, you would be able to RP him using those skills. If you were perhaps aiming for the Mastery, then yes, the class and the teaching of a class should allow you to get the Mastery :)

There was an herbcraft class. Astarte was going to do a re-write on it, though she's been on shara. She intends to return soon, so I'd touch base with her before writing a new one. (She is also Yellow Head of Ajah, so not a bad idea either way.)

Classes would not be required to obtain the mastery, however.
Herbcraft Mastery
People who have attained this mastery know all they can about herbs that grow in the world and about what their medicinal values are, or are not as the case may be, and any dangers or side effects. Not only are they a compendium of the knowledge, but they know how to put it into practical use--how to take each herb and make it something that can be used on patients--and what mixes to make.
Earning a Mastery
Requirements per Mastery: Any two of the following:

Fanfic (1000 words)
Long RP (Minimum 5 Posts, Totaling 1000 words)
Class
Major/Big RP (Minimum 5 Posts, Totaling 1000 words)
Requirements can be repeated, such as two fanfics or two long threads to gain a mastery.

-waves from the world of the returning from Shara-

The class is actually 90% done and about to be sent off for approval. So...say, three/four hours from me. In the meantime, if you want a thread regarding something specific Betrys is always available. Just let me know.

For the record- though a class is not required for the mastery, I don't see any issue with taking one to meet one of the two required writing pieces. Just make sure to hit the minimum word count and show your skill, and you'd likely be golden.
