Control I'm bigger than my body
I'm colder than this home
I'm meaner than my demons
I'm bigger than these bones

There had been more death than the Tower had been aware. The Amyrlin and M’Hael did their best to hide the damage of it lest a slaughter of innocents should ensue, not to mention the political danger. Hiding it meant the fault would fall on the two at the top and potentially their Ajah. However if it was known there would no doubt be debates within the Hall that would strip alliances and make more enemies. Carraidhin was not about allow the Black Ajah such easy fodder. That it remained quiet was its own mystery but Carra had a ‘’knowing’’ that for now they were safe from that crossover.

As the weight of their station was relieved from them and their watch now at an end, Carraidhin didn’t look inward to what she aspired to do next but outside the walls of the Grey Tower. The world beyond taunted her, beaconing… clawing at the edge of her spine with unsettling shivers to her growing restlessness.

The release of her bounds made it easy for her to collect a Tower horse, have it saddled up with enough goods, crowns and marks of a variety of nations, and simple tools for travel and be ready at the Channeling Yard. She stood there with the reigns of her borrowed horse with an odd trepidation of her task at hand and a sense of freedom that she had not felt in a very long time. Since entering the Grey Tower not one of her traveled visits outside of the Tower was sanctioned, but done in secret or at the cost of some kind of bribe. The taste of it was intoxicating, euphoric. It pulled at the depth of her with all the words that she had once held in silence.

Carraidhin stood like a statue of stone, without a hint of hesitation or second thought as the weave for traveling was put in place. She used others to create the first gateway, but after she would make a second and then a third to reach her destination. She did not wish to be followed, and light only knew how long she would be able to stay away before Jaryd would summon her back.

It was a strange tie to have to the Grey Tower. It didn’t grate the way the Amyrlin Stole did. He didn’t use it to control her but knowing that should she die he could find her was a rare comfort. They had discussed this adventure on occassion but never to the point of making plans. Carra, on the other hand, always had a plan. Plans and intentions that could be triggered with a simple decision. From names with papers that she could use that lead away from the Grey Tower. Places she could hide. There was great power that came with the full range of the Grey Tower communications. From letters of allowance, to just about anything she could possibly need. With her ability to understand how to hide, none of what she had set up could even lead back to the Grey Tower let alone her or her Ajah. It was frightening was she had been capable of doing with the hidden seal and codes of the Amyrlin Seat. Or even the Keeper’s Seal when placed in the right context.

For 10 years she planned this. Once the gateway was made Carraidhin lead her horse out without even a nod of thanks to those that made the gateway. No doubt they would report her up the chain to the new Amyrlin Seat before the hour turned no matter how she greeted them. It would be good for her to be scarce for a little while. Not long, but long enough to allow herself the freedom that she so desperately craved.

Walking through, the gateway snapped shut, and only then did Carraidhin pull out the flat faceless silver coin from her pocket. This one held no hum of Saidin or Saidar. Held no marking to speak of its origin. Yet Carra knew where it came from and where it would take her. After all, the Brotherhood held no face so that no assassin could kill their leader. A challenge for her to crack. One that Carra was going to greatly enjoy breaking.
