Lirievin Tesiva Liri smiled as she made her way down to the Yards. She had been going down there for class recently but Connor always got so serious when he was teaching, and Liri understood as weapons were not something to joke about but she still vividly remembered their first meeting and it made Liri want to get to know him. He was one of thew very few people she felt comfortable around, and she just had a strange sense that he would protect her and although she wanted to be independent, she found that coming from him, she was ok with it.

But for some reason she felt like she needed an excuse to talk to him, they really hadn't gotten to know each other very well so all they really had in common was weapons. Liri had decided that she would go down and ask about Archery. she felt like that would be another good weapon for her, and she could eventually learn to shoot while riding Eclipse which would make fleeing easier if she ever found herself in that situation. Of course she hoped they would find something else to talk about after that but she would let nature take it's course.

As she neared the yards, she spotted Connor on the opposite side, practicing with someone she didn't know, so she walked closer and waited on the side lines until he was finished his spar.

Conor Palfrey It was never a wise idea to show off when there was someone watching. This was a poignant lesson that Conor did not always honor since he was a shameless exebitionist yet with the newer Drin, an all new generation, it was enough to keep them on target without going off into a flourish of his own. When Aes Sedai passed, especially those dressed in the Green, they puffed up their chests and tried to get a better look and simply lost focus. When Accepted walked by... Then they just got sloppy and stupid as they tried to swing faster and harder without the control behind their blades. This one was stupid enough to actually let go of his blade in his attack and nearly lost his hand were Conor not so experienced.

"I.. I, I'm sorry Sir Palfrey Gaidin." The stutter was painfully familiar as he remembers such nerves when he first started in the yard. But he was not Cairma, yet the response he gave was eerily familiar.

"Go. 25 Laps around the yard, or until the next meal bell. If you can't focus enough to keep your hand you don't get to learn more today."

"Yes, Sir Gaidin." And the boy ran off as he caught the eye of the pretty blonde Accepted that had caught the Drin off guard in the first place. His scowl changed to a bright, flirtatious grin. "My Lady Accepted. What brings you to the Yards? Looking for more lessons or a little company?" He could have said much worse, so much worse. But something about her made him stay at his best, well.. Sort of his best. His smile didn't hide what he felt for her even if the depth of it was hidden behind his easygoing mannerisms. "Seems my day just freed up thanks to a bit of a hiccup in training."

Lirievin Tesiva Liri couldn't help but smile as Conor approached her. She just always felt comfortable and safe in his presence. Moments with him were moments where she didn't have to be on guard at all times because she knew he had her back. Liri gave another small smile at Conor's remark. It seemed she was not as covert as she had hoped, but he was also flirty and she was getting use to that as well.

"Well it seems your in luck as I'm looking for a bit of both things." She said playfully. "As my mother use to say, business before pleasure." She thought about winking at him but thought it might be too much so she settled for a grin. As Conor reached her she turned to look away from him indicting that she would like to walk. Now that she was using her foot more she was getting use to it and it was as bad, she knew she would never walk 'normally' again but she was getting closer and that was enough for her. "I'm looking to learn a bit more about archery. Any good teachers you recommend? I could always take the class but maybe the teacher is a flop, so I thought I'd get your expert advice". she refrained from smiling that time, wanting to get a serious answer from him. She did want to learn and it would be a great tool for when she was riding so she could make an escape if need be. SHe just hoped she could find another teacher that was as forgiving and helpful as Conor had been with her stance

Conor Palfrey She had a lovely voice, and none of the temperament of the women that usually pulled at his heart strings. She had fire but there was no temper. A cold rage burned in her but he only caught a glimpse of it when they had sparred. She hid a great darkness but all he could see around her was a halo of light. Lost in his appreciation of her golden light, he caught the word 'archery' and he visibly paled even if his smile didn't falter.

"No. I can't teach you it, but you are better off asking Amayani Gaidin. The Mistress of Arms. She is the best in the yard and would be your best teacher. I would point you but we had a bit of an... It would be better if you saw her on her own without saying I sent you there." The last thing he wanted was Yani laughing and telling his Accepted the story of the last time she saw him with a bow. It would be embarrassing and the last thing he wanted was to be discredited.

Not that he was looking for a bond with the Accepted, but he liked her as a friend. And there was something about manly pride or something something. Conor liked what they had without that story. At least... not yet. He had yet to screw up so royally that she would laugh at him when she saw him. It was a small joy.

"I can direct you if you wish. Or would you like to try another adventure?"

Lirievin Tesiva Liri nodded politely as Conor told her that he coudln't teach her but Amayani Gaidin would be able to. She was the Mistress of Arms so Liri figured she would be easy enough to find and she didn't need Conor to lead her there. Plus she had come down here to actually spend some with Conor to get to know him. Because besides her lessons she hadn't really spent any time with him and it made her wonder why she felt so comfortable around him.

"Let's go on an adventure!" Liri said happily. She took a few steps ahead before looking over to Conor. "Follow me." She had a feeling Conor would be amused by not knowing where she was taking him. Even though he would find out as soon as they got close to the Stables, the smell and tacking up a horse would give it away. Liri didn't really say much as they walked to the Stables, not really knowing what to say but the silence was comfortable anyway.

As they reached the stables Liri turned again to look at Conor. "Saddle up!" she said with a grin. "I'll mean you out here when we're done." With that Liri headed into the Stables and headed right to Eclipse's stall. "hey buddy" she murmured giving him a good pat. "We're going to go for a nice ride today."

It didn't take her long to get Eclipse saddled and ready and by the time she walked out she saw Conor outside waiting for her. She should have guessed that he would be out for her, Liri was actually rather slow getting Eclipse ready as she enjoyed spending time with him. Saying nothing Liri mounted Eclipse and headed out towards the grounds. Once they reached a good distance away from the gates Liri let her reins loose and nudged Eclipse into a canter. She didn't canter for long before reining Eclipse back to walk as she waited for Conor to catch up. "Sorry, it's been far to long since I let him run loose."

"It's just so beautiful and peaceful out here. I love to bring Eclipse out here when I am feeling overwhelmed. You know the feeling?"
