Maegan Ryanne
"There is no need for you to delve, Asha'man." While she would not admit it aloud here there was some reservations to Saidin that made Maegan uncomfortable around the male channeler. The decades and decades of hunting down male channelers knowing the destruction they caused but also the animosity of her former Ajah with them.. No, she was not at all comfortable around one that was able to channel Saidin. Being in this room with a male channeler was nearly as uncomfortable visiting that fort back in the Black Tower before there was even a Black Tower of stone.
"I have come in hopes to find Healing in my touch with Saidar. You see, my Ajah felt that I was a liability and that their best option was to still me in hopes of keeping me silent. Fortunately my service to some made them soft enough to feel that my death would be too unkind." There was a quick of her lips, although during the entire conversation Maegan came off lighthearted, sweet and steady.. like a light sweet tea. The former Aes Sedai felt no need to be all up in arms and instead laid more cards on the table then she would have were this the White Tower. The boy across from her seemed nice but even she could see that the ageless look was still young with him. "That is, if this kind of Healing can be done. Is it possible Asha'man Seth?"

Allowing the delving weave to dissipate, but not his hold on saidin, Seth lent back on his perch, placing his arms behind him as he regarded the former Aes Sedai before him. Once she had revealed that she had been severed, Seth finally placed why her eyes seemed so much older than her face. He listened intently to Maegan's story, memorizing each detail. Once she finished, and made her askance, Seth looked over her shoulder to the Novice.
"Could you please fetch the Amyrlin? Tell her it requires her attention immediately. Tell no one else about what you have heard in this room, but her.
"It is not that I don't trust you, Maegan. Since severing is such a severe punishment, you can imagine that even if we wanted to, the Yellow is in no position to heal severing. Though, I must admit, it is only when the punishment is dealt by the Grey Tower. Historically, we don't truly recognize much of the authority that the White Tower presents, even though we acknowledge their existence, even though they don't return the same courtesy. As such, yes we can heal severing. However, few have the capability. It was long before my time when the last person was healed, so I'm not even sure who among us could do it. But, I must ask the Amyrlin before we proceed."
Seth's words were emotionless because of the Void, but he meant every word. Even his usually perpetual smile was not upon his face, to make light of even the darkest situations. If the Amyrlin gave the go ahead, how would having her ability to channel affect Maegan, and the Tower if she is accepted among them as a sister of the Grey Tower?

It was not often that the Amyrlin Seat would walk fast through the halls of the Grey Tower. Usually it was a calm glide that drove her to show confidence and a certain ease that welcomed approach. When Rhykana, an girl she remembered teaching how to touch the One Power when she first joined the Tower, came to her office and uttered the words of a a Red stilled now in the halls of the Yellow, Carra felt a little fear. The Red Ajah of the White Tower would not be kind to her or any that may approach her Ajah and she felt very protective of what she had started. To have a longstanding Red of the opposing Tower could undo a great deal of work she had attempted to start here. A sense of healing that none other dared to attempt.
Coming under the guise for Healing could cause great controversy, but if the White Tower had genuinely dismissed the Aes Sedai then perhaps... No, this was a bad thing. Carra was convinced that it must be, as she walked swiftly down the stairs and halls, the curly waves of her red hair streaming over her shoulder had been loose and the gown a simple white satin and dark blue's and red's for embroidery. Those that might normally approach her paused and held their peace, for which Carra could have been grateful for if not for the fact that she didn't care and her tolerance of approach was on her suffrage and not just their privilege. Carra did not make friends easily, but she tried hard not to make herself more enemies. Having one potentially from the White Tower only drove her.
As she was expected, and being the Amyrlin Seat, Carra did not bother knocking on the door into the First Healers office, one that Seth occupied for the time being as the higher ranked and skilled of the Yellows. Taking only the barest of moments to compose herself, the door pushed open with gentle control and Carra walked in to find the least expected person she had expected. The young Accepted in her came faster to the forefront than the Amrylin that now stood there.
"Maegan Sedai?" The honorific purely out of habit, Carra released the door handle and the door was left where it was as eyes and ears could both see and hear the conversation. It mattered little as the last she had expected with the Red Mentor that she had encountered in the Andorian Library as an Accepted. A dangerous crossover that Carraidhin now attempted to piece together.
"Mother." There was a smirk at the edge of her smile from the now very young looking Cairhien, but her spectacles, hair and dress were unmistakable to Carra that she simply scowled in return.
"I see you managed to tell one too many jokes." Carra said coolly, her head turned to Seth. "Asha'man Seth." He was young, younger than her, but incredibly adept at healing and firm enough to handle the blossoming young boys under his tutelage. "There was mention of Healing. Is there anything I might help clear up?"

Seth Arcuraim
The door opened softly to allow Carraidhin entrance. He smiled through the void in greeting. It wasn't often that Seth had to summon the Amyrlin to his office, but a situation such as Maegan's was out of his hands, if indeed she was a Stilled Aes Sedai. When Carra greeted Maegan with the honorific, Seth knew that the woman was a channeler, but until he could delve the woman to see whether he could see the severance, he wouldn't know for certain.
As Carraidhin came in, Seth noticed that she had left the door open. With the words exchanged between the two women, Seth gathered that it had been concealed shock that had led Carra to forego closing the door behind her. Seth threw out a tendril of air and shut it. Any who thought they might hear exactly what was happening by eavesdropping at an open door would find themselves now shut out. Despite being an open person, Seth wasn't likely to let the rumor mill start working until there were facts for it to mill.
He still hadn't moved from his perch upon the edge of his desk. Seth smiled when Carra turned to him. He found a smile always helped to ease tensions, and it certainly worked to his advantage with the Soldiers, and more often than not the Novices were all too willing to do as the smiling Asha'man asked.
"Yes, Mother," Seth said. "Maegan here has come to us claiming to have been Stilled by the White Tower. Her request, therefore, was to be Healed of her Stilling."
Seth refrained from shuffling, it didn't do well to be told that's what he was supposed to be doing, without first being allowed to verify that it was in fact what he was supposed to be healing.
"However, she has refused my request to delve her, so I suppose I must ask for you to verify for me, first off, that she can't in fact channel, and was Stilled. Once that is cleared up, I will explain what we need to do.
"There is also the small matter of what you want. To allow her to have her ability restored, and then, to do with her if and when she is healed."

Re: Tarnished but not Broken
Carraidhin & Maegan
The Amyrlin Seat stayed standing, allowing the seriousness of the nature become lost in the the casual setting. It felt right, to her, to not demand formality when she was still so new to the Stole. A look at Maegan, Seth, and then back to Maegan had her regarding the former Aes Sedai with a measure of curiosity. This woman taught her weaves that most Aes Sedai wouldn't. This woman taught her about the Red Ajah as she had seen it and not as the White Tower had and it had brought Carra some measure of confidence in her decision to choose the Red Ajah upon raising. This woman pushed boundries and challenged authority with little more than a smile and a well placed pique.
"Do you intend to join the Red Ajah? Or will you court the other Ajah's of the Grey Tower?"
Maegan fluffed out her skirts a little, under the eye of the Amyrlin Seat. Carra did not threaten her, nor did she find her intimidating despite her hard exterior. She had survived the White Tower, the eyes of the Red and all the others. There was little Carra could take from her that was not already gone.
"Your Red Ajah is not my Red Ajah, Mother. I intent to understand where I have placed my life before deciding my fate within it." Maegan said simply.
Carra gave a firm nod, and turned to Seth. "Maegan was instrumental in teaching me many things that I struggled to learn here. She is an asset to our Ranks, and I can not bypass the potential loss to claim what the White Tower has decided to toss aside. She is a strength to us, even without her power. I can not sense anything from her, but something feels..." Carraidhin tried to reach for that sense of Saidar that women can sense in other women but felt nothing. "If she can be healed, I give my blessing. And Maegan, try not to upset the denizens too much before you find more allies."

Youth was no barrier to Seth's abilities, and that was apparent to his fellow Yellows. If the Amyrlin said that Seth was allowed to continue with the Healing, there were no barriers left standing, except perhaps Maegan's obvious dislike of male Channelers. It would take all of Seth's ability to wield his silver tongue to convince Maegan to let him heal her. It would not be easy.
"Well, first I must explain how healing your ability to channel will work. Since it is essentially a clean cut, such as one with a blade, it is much easier to repair the severing. if you were burned out, it would be next to impossible as the 'threads' that connected you to the One Power would be 'frayed'. That is the easiest way to explain how channeling works, it is however a lot more complicated than that."
He smiled, not knowing if Maegan could tell where he might have been going with his explanation. If he couldn't diffuse her prejudice toward saidin and those that use it. What could very well be several life times worth of enmity would be hard to break through. However, if anyone could do it, Seth and his silver tongue could.
"To be able to restore you to your full potential, I must however tell you, that it will require a male to heal your Stilling. If you would prefer a female to do it, I can try to find someone within the Yellow Ajah, but you may be restored to only a third or at most a half, of your full potential. Once done though, I must warn you, your strength in the One Power might not increase."

Maegan Ryanne
She weighed his comments heavily on her mind. To be touched with Saidin... a Power she fought all her life that could give her back her full strength in the One Power, or Saidar that would only heal her a fraction. It was obviously an easy answer if one weighed the one thing that mattered in Aes Sedai Politics; One Power Strength. But it would mean being touched with Saidin. Maegan sat there, the weight of Carraidhin watching her, and Asha'man Seth. Maegan weighed her options.
"I apprecite your explination. A choice like this can not be made lightly nor uninformed. Your information is helpful and it gives me options. I came to the Grey Tower not because I wanted to hide but because I want to make the world better. I am a scientist and I do not need the One Power to continue much of my work, but my talents with Ter'Angreal I can not ignore. The Pattern has woven Carraidhin, Mother, into my life when she needed it and now I have come to collect. I won't fall into the trap my former Ajah did, and I will put my trust not only in the Grey Tower, her Amyrlin and M'Hael, but the Asha'man as well. If men and women can work together in one Tower, it is a dream I had feared I would never see."
"I wish to be healed by an Asha'man. I could live with less than my full strength, but I could not live with myself if I did not put my trust in those that the Grey Tower has put its trust in. I can only hope that one day the Tower will accept and trust me in return."
