Well, I can offer a few ideas I got.
- he could meet one of av's three birds
- av is being an idiot. who knows what this means
- he could get lost and she could find him and point him in the right direction
- av is in the library and refuses to use the power to get down a book on the tall shelf (its "cheating") and refuses his help but he stays anyway to watch

Second option sounds the most fun.
