Suppressing a sigh, Terric forged on. He was here now. He could just leave this woman to work herself to death, but that just wasn’t his way. “It’s been a long while since I’ve put much practice into fighting with my hands and feet. We could try that or you could pit your sword against my spear. If you want, I could even teach you how to fight with a spear and buckler.”

At least if they did that, he could set the pace of their lessons. Terric knew though, he should just walk away from this. He couldn’t help her, he didn’t need to take responsibility for her. It would only end in pain. Terric pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind. It didn’t matter. He had to try.

His persistence was, quite frankly, wearing her down. She looked off over the Yards and took a deep breath, letting it out slowly as she pushed her hair back again, even though she had already pushed away any that had fallen in her way. It seemed with this action that some of the tension in her body visibly deflated. One couldn't say she relaxed precisely, but she did not seem like a bow string ready to fire.

"I don't know I'm really suited to a spear," she admitted, turning back to look at him with less challenge in her gaze. "I have not, however, kept up as much on my unarmed skills and I suppose that's lax of me. I mean, anyone can get disarmed, right? We've got to study and be prepared for that."
