With her admonition received, Fen Garlan excused himself from the Aes Sedai’s presence and made his way up the stairs to the Tower foyer. Had she given him a warning? There was much about the Red Ajah he had yet to figure out, such as why they were located in the basement of the Tower. Was it wise to think of pledging to an Ajah that might draw the attention and, perhaps, the ire of others in the Tower? If he was to successfully make contact with members of the Black Ajah, might it not be in his best interest to be nondescript? Yet hadn’t the Mistress pointed him towards the Red?
These and other questions plagued him as he made his way to the gardens. To sit and ponder for a bit, that seemed the best course of action.
