Daelar, though he was on the defensive, almost missed the Drin's lightning fast jab. He tried to block it, but the power was such that he was unable to block it completely, and it his is breastbone. Light! He's fast!
The uppercut, on the other hand, wasn't so hard to block. Daelar just dropped the arm he had used to block into the crease of the elbow.
That trapped the Drin's arm, keeping him from retreating right away. Breathing heavily, Daelar lifted his right arm once again, preparing to strike the Drin's open chest with his elbow.

Excellent move! Prewtez thought as Daelar trapped his arm. Seeing the Soldier raise his elbow in preparation of a strike against his exposed chest, Prewtez took the only option he could think of in the blink of an eye and lunged forward, hoping to topple both of them to the ground.
Not very sporting, he knew, but his only chance.

Daelar was helpless to stop the Drin from slamming into him. His arm was prepared to strike, not defend. His stance was good, but not fluid enough to retreat nor strong enough to remain standing. He did the only thing he could think of, and it was an act of desperation.
He drove off his back foot, while attempting to take the Drin's feet out from under him with his other foot. If it worked, the would crash to the ground. On Daelar's terms, though, not the Drin's.
(OOC: Remember, Daelar isn't very good at this. He has never learned to sweep and does not really know what he's doing.)

Daelar met the Drin's lurch forward with a shove of his own. Though Prewtez was stronger and heavier than the Soldier, the sweep of the smaller man's other foot threw Prewtez off balance. Stumbling backwards, almost falling, he shoved off Daelar's chest and staggered into a defensive stance.
He held up a hand to signal a break before his opponent attacked again.
"You are an excellent opponent, Daelar Raelad, quick and smart. Certainly better than those I sparred with in class. Do you wish to go another round? My time grows short before I'm due in the stables." Prewtez wasn't going to make the mistake of being late for chores again!
(OOC: We can continue or Prewtez can invite him to share a drink sometime. He is definitely intrigued by Daelar's background)

Daelar was panting for breath, glad that after all they had not had to grapple on the ground. This sparring match was certainly tiring!
"If you there is something you need to do, I will certainly not keep you from it. However, at some point in the future I would love to spar you again."
Part of him was glad the spar was over, while another part wished to continue for a while longer, as this Drin was an excellent opponent, and they were roughly equal in skill.
He stepped forward to shake the Drin's hand, that being how unarmed fighters saluted at the end of a match.

Prewtez took the man's hand and returned the shake.
"Thank you, Soldier Daelar Ralead, a worthy opponent can only make a man a better fighter. I believe you have done so for me," he paused, then added, "Once we are both raised and can find the time, I would be honored to sit and share some ale with you at the local inn, I believe it's called The Band of Brothers."

Daelar, still tired, replied "Indeed. I would be glad to join you- when I have both time and permission."
They finished their goodbyes, Prew heading off toward the stables. Daelar turned and walked off toward the Tower. This time had been both fun and helpful.
