Bloody Hatherton!

Calder Selm
The main thing Calder appreciated about his recent promotion was the added free time available on his daily schedule. Less time in tedious classes, less boring lectures to attend. But sooner or later, he would be required to teach. That was one thing he did not look forward to. He had no interest in teaching, with his luck he would be stuck teaching someone as stubborn as he was.

Or someone worse, like bloody Nani Hatherton. Opening his eyes, he growled in frustration, noticing that the sun was not even up yet. He could already feel that portion of himself tied to Hatherton, that bundle of emotion coiled tightly, angry, and worse yet… Broken.

He sat, and swung his legs to the side of the bed. Calder yawned, and cursed the bloody woman. He reached down, and picked his pants off of the ground. He slid both legs into his pants, then hopped off the bed. He swiftly put on a shirt, and his jacket. He slid on some dirty socks, and his boots. It was far too early to be awake, but enough was enough.

Today was the day he would face that beautiful, and incredibly irritating woman!

He quietly made his way through the Dedicated's quarters, and soon enough, snuck out of the Tower during the change of the guard. Not that he had needed to try, it was already far too easy to sneak out this early in the morning anyway!

Though sneaking into the barracks of the Warder Yards, that was not as easy a feat. He did not have much time, the sun would be up soon. So he quietly followed a guard, counting on the man being very tired this late into his shift. It did not take long to make it to the door leading to the barracks kitchen. He snuck in, and made his way deeper into the building.

By the time the sun was cresting over the horizon, he had made his way to Nani's door. Using Saidin, he unlatched the lock, and made his way within. He knew from the ball of turmoil within that the woman was tired, and upset. He guessed that since her clothes, and underclothes were tossed across the floor, that it must be her, that caused the lump within the thin, white sheet on on her bed.

"You kept me up half the night, woman!" Calder said, blatantly exaggerating. "We can't be continuing like this, something has to give." He yawned, to reinforce his point.

As he inhaled, he tasted the odor in the room. He gagged, and rudely said "You need to get that firm butt off your bed, and into a bath." Looking around, he was tempted to comment about her messy quarters.

Go away

Nani Hatherton
Time was not kind to her, and nor was the night. Her body was falling into laziness and she couldn't get out of bed longer then to eat and then go back to her room. But this morning with the sun not even up yet, was clearly going to different. She hadn't slept in almost three days, and she was close to begging for death. She wanted to die, her lover and love was gone from her life. But there was that three quarters full void that was her new bondmate, that man Calder. Her blood boiled every time she thought of what he had done to her. Bonded her without permission, without so much as a by-your-leave.

Using a weave that if done incorrectly could have killed her or destroyed her mind. So involved she was in her anger at him, she felt every movement he made and felt him draw closer and closer. He had to sneak she knew because he was just a little dedicated thinking he knew what was best for her. A small taste of that raging river that was Saidin was felt as he unlocked her door and stepped in. She knew that her room was disgusting and messy. Her face was towards her wall, and her hand closed around the fan under her pillow. Her body torqued up into a sitting position, and she glared full on at the man who was standing in her room. She gave no mind to the fact that her breasts were bare to his eyes, nor did she care. She slept naked because it was the best way for her to get some sleep.

Her fan was raised and she threw it straight at him. "Go soak your head you bloody son of a goat." She snarled her chest heaving in her anger. "I kept you up? Maybe you shouldn't have done what you bloody well have you asshole." She was so pissed off at him, and what he did to her. "My firm butt, and my body aren't getting out of this bed. Leave me alone in my grief."

Calder Selm
As the woman sat up, Calder's mind was flooded with conflicting emotions. His own shock at Nani's unique form of rebellion. His eyes lingered on her breasts for a moment, until he forced himself to tear his gaze away. The image burned itself deep into his memory. The image though nearly cost him his life!

Calder barely managed to grasp Saidin, using the One Power to send the weapon spinning towards the side of the room. He was in too much shock to really reflect on the fact that Nani had nearly ended his life. He knew the woman's aim was nearly flawless, and he also knew that she often applied poison supplied by her younger sister to the tips of her fans.

His anger, her anger, and a hint of lust made his head spin. He had come expecting a battle, but already things were not happening as he envisioned. He could not argue with the woman's words, but he had really not expected attempted murder. But as he realized the loss of control due to a chaotic situation, he recalled some of his training. When losing control of Saidin, take a deep breath, and steady your will. Breathe deeply, and let everything burn from the small flame within the void.

Taking a deep breath, and smelling the room's filth, smelling Nani, the scent smothered that small spark of lust. He would not apologize for looking, he was a man after all! Besides, there was nothing attractive about what he saw. A broken woman. A fighter with a broken weapon, a broken back, a broken mind.

Exhaling, he found his heart rate was beginning to calm, and was able to focus his thoughts beyond the woman's mouth, weapon, and firm breasts, though the latter would be difficult to forget!

He remembered a very interesting fact about an Asha'man's bond. Unlike the Aes Sedai version, his own held a strong link to compulsion. An Asha'man's bondmate tended to have a difficult time disobeying a direct order.

"Cover your tits, woman!" He ordered, keeping his gaze pointed towards the window. "What's been keeping you bloody awake all night?"

He sighed, realizing how stupid his question was. Of course he knew why she was unable to sleep, she had seen the man she had loved die before her very eyes. He opened his mouth, but found that he was at a loss for words. Anger and frustration gave way to sympathy. He felt concerned for this woman, regardless of how irritating she was.

"Get dressed, we're getting you into a bath tub. You stink."

Nani Hatherton
She felt that lust enter her mind, and snarled again. He was lusting after her after he watched her lover get consumed by that bubble of evil. What a rangey mutt. And that lust soon disappeared to be replaced by disgust and that made her even more pissed off. She might not have bathed recently, but she was still an attractive woman, and there was no reason for his mind to be repulsed by her. But then the smells in the room started to become clear to her, and her nose wrinkled up smelling the filth and the dirt. "Cover your tits, woman!" the order came through and without a thought she grabbed the sheet and brought it to her chest.

Surprise covered her face, and she looked down at her hand that was holding the blanket to her breasts. "What the..." She whispered softly before she was ordered to get dressed. Her body was quick to respond even though her mind was not on the same page. "WHAT THE BLOODY LIGHT DID YOU DO TO ME!?!" She practically shouted at him as she pulled on dirty clothes and grabbed clean clothes and her bathing equipment. Once she had it all collected she set it down and drew another fan advancing on him. "What did you bloody do to me!?!" She snarled, pointing her fan at his throat.

Calder Selm
"What?" Calder asked mockingly. He lifted his hands, and shrugged. His smile faded as soon as he saw the weapon. "Whoa," he said, as he motioned for the woman to stop. He felt like an idiot, forgetting that the woman had three matching sets. It did not help that she did not react kindly to his mocking tone.

She came at him like a snarling wolf, rage coming through the bond, and from her body language and voice. She held a fan in her hand like a dagger, the weapon one quick strike from digging into his throat, ending his joke of a life forevermore.

"I didn't think it would work like that, i swear!" He said as calmly as he could. He grasped Saidin. There was no doubt in his mind that Nani would kill him if provoked. That scenario was something he could never allow. She would never survive losing a real bond, that would push her way beyond the edge. She would be forever lost. For that was exactly what she shared with him, a true bond forged with Saidin, and not an imitation created by Ter'Angreal. Though he could not deny the most important bond that had been severed, her love for Kain Thresher.

"Stop." He said, as he prepared threads of air to bind her. But he soon realized he need not bother, the woman had stopped. He thanked the bond silently for it's benefits, knowing that were he to actually bind her in cords of air, that would also cause Nani to lose herself. He wanted to help her! But he really was not sure how.

"Hatherton, I… You… I'm sorry for what you lost, but you bloody well know he would not want your beautiful self wasting away. The fool loved you, of that there is no doubt. Thing is, there are other people who care about you, too." He said, realizing that he was beginning to care for her, in spite of her idiocy and temper and stubbornness.

"Please, let's get you bathed, and then we can find something to eat, okay?"

Nani Hatherton
"LIAR!" She accused as she was forced to stop by his order again. Her body was wound tighter then her bow string and she wanted nothing more then to slide her fans into his throat and end him and end this unwanted bond of slavery. "Why do you care? You put me through this and you know nothing about what I'm dealing with. I loved and lost him TWICE. This time it's permanent. There's not chance of him ever coming back. And I can feel that finality, and it's killing me." Her voice, so strong at the start, fell off to a whisper at the end, as she felt her legs give a shake and her body moved over to the bed to sit down and put her head in her hands.

"I live that death every time I sleep. And I don't need as much sleep as I used to because of what you have done to me." She said, turning accusing eyes up at him. A sigh left her lips and her aggression left her body, feeling that stupid emotion of sympathy in his mind. She didn't want his sympathy, Nani wanted his empathy. To understand but not try and change her. She would get back to who she was eventually, but not yet. Her mind wasn't ready to let Kain go just yet. But she shoved herself off the bed, and up to her feet. The Gidar got her bathing gear and headed for the baths. "You're welcome to stand guard outside, but you are not coming in. You've already seen more then you should have." She said, giving him a look that told him that she knew he had been attracted to her very naked breasts earlier.

How about a new adventure?

Post by Dan » April 17th, 2015, 4:51 am

Calder Selm
Perhaps it was out of spite, perhaps out of genuine interest. But when the Gaidar walked past him, and through that door, Calder turned his head, and watched her walk. But the vision of her shapely behind was swiftly hindered by a slamming door. The woman had used enough force to make dust fall from the doorframe.

"While i may not know what it's like to be loved, and to lose that person. I do know your pain, Nani. The bond we share oozes with your bloody pain! You're broken, just like me, my dear." He said loudly to the door. He put his back to the door, and dropped heavily to the floor. He put his ear to the wood, and heard the woman enter the tub. "We're just a couple of broken idiots stuck together."

Silently, he added "Mind you, one of the idiots has a shapely behind."

Calder crossed his legs, and closed his eyes. As tired as he felt, he simply could not relax. That bundle of emotions that was Nani was just too painful, like an infection burning red hot within his mind. The woman may be broken, hurt, angry, but he was glad to see she still had fight. She had not given up. Had she surrendered to her pain, she would neverhave had the energy to try and kill him moments ago.

"Did you know that there is a full fist of trollocs locked away by the One Power in the Borderlands?" Calder asked aloud, taking a gamble, taking a chance. One thing he had learned from the new Amyrlin Seat was that he could no longer go on alone. If he wanted to succeed, at anything of worth, he would need help.

"The Dark One killed Kain, Nani. And killed Zhao Dun Asha'man, and Amora Sedai, and Accepted Lilianey, amongst a great many. The Dark One will kill many more, have no doubt. But some of us survived the chaos. Some of us have seen the Dark One's touch, and lived to tell about it."

Calder opened his eyes, and smiled. He had to admit, the whole honesty thing felt kind of good. And from the subtle change in Nani's mood, and how the water had grown quiet, Nani had definitely heard him.

Nani Hatherton
Satisfaction was permeating her body as she slammed the door in his face. She listened to him but didn't say a word to him. Until he said that they were stuck together. "We're only stuck together because of YOU." She retorted as the tub filled with water, and then stripped back down stepping into the bath water, and giving a small sigh of relief. The dirt was starting to slide off her body and her muscles were relaxing in the hot water. She washed first with just the clothe, getting rid of much of her dirt. Dipping under the water to get her hair wet, she came back up, pulling out a small handful of hair as she ran her hands through it.

A disgusted look on her face as she cleaned her hands off and did it again, taking less hair out, but getting it clean. She soaped up got her hair clean before she tackled her body. Finally getting her body clean, she stood up, and listened carefully. A full fist of Trollocs locked away by the one power in the borderlands? "And what do you want to do about the fist of Trollocs? Do you think that the two of us could kill the entire Fist? You're not trained enough." She knew that her skills could take out a good majority, but it was going to be suicide.

She got out of the tub, water slowly sliding off her very clean body. Her towel ran over it, and wrapped her hair up on top of her head, before she got dressed in her old Group 17 uniform. She was a Gaidar now, and not bound by the rules of uniforms. But a uniform brought her comfort, and it brought her solace. The green pants were well worn, as was the top. Once her clothing was on, she leaned forward and towel dried her hair quickly before she grabbed all her things and let the water out of the tub. Finger brushing her hair, she opened the door to see Calder sitting on the floor next to the door. He had actually stood guard while she bathed.

"You mentioned food? We can discuss your plan then."

Calder Selm
"Food would be good." He said in agreement. He grunted, as he got off his ass and stood up. He dusted dirt off of his butt, not wanting some Asha'man or Aes Sedai to bore him with some lecture about clean uniforms. He was sick of lectures, they bored him nearly half to death!

His stomach growled loudly, his own body agreeing with the Gaidar, leading his thoughts towards a nice, hearty breakfast, and away from the drama of a bit earlier. He grinned, as he felt, as much as he heard, the woman's stomach grumbling in agreement. For once, she was also on the same page as he was.

"I'm thinking some sliced glazed ham, breakfast sausages, and some fried eggs would do quite nicely." Calder said, as he fantasized about such a wonderful meal. But he doubted very much they would find such a meal waiting for them at the mess hall. With the recent shipment of edible oats, the kitchens had been serving oatmeal, going through the stock before the Dark One's touch turned the food rotten.

"What you said before, about a plan. There is no plan to go to the Borderlands. It's quite simple, honestly, we actually need to do nothing at all! Remember that dagger i used, when…" Seeing the dark look on Nani's face from the corner of his eye, he swiftly got to the point. "The dagger is a Ter'Angreal that severs the threads within a weave. You could say it acts much like a key, able to open any ward, cutting through the ward keeping the fist of trollocs locked in captivity."

They walked together silently, for a few minutes. Calder tried to remember every detail of what he had seen, but some things he just could not recall. There had been signs as to which fist the trollocs had belonged to, but he had been unable to find yet any records matching the symbol. He yawned, giving up on the matter, for now at least.

Perhaps it was just as well that he could not remember. Some things were better left alone. Without the dagger, and without someone talented at unweaving, they could never release them. They would be locked away, unable to harm anyone.

But why was that fist, of all the fists, locked up like that? It was but one of many questions he had pondered, when thinking about it all.

"Strange, though, how they could survive locked up like that." Calder said softly. "What do trollocs bloody eat anyway? Dirt and stones?"

Nani Hatherton
Nani snorted softly. His meal that he described did sound delicious and since she was a Gaidar, she would be able to order anything she wanted from the kitchens. Her ears listened, and when he started to mention the bonding, she turned her angry gaze towards him, and then heard him keep going. They were back outside of her room, and she grabbed her cloak and weapons, moving back towards the mess hall. She calmed down a bit, and then moved into the mess hall of the Warder Yards. "Go sit, I'll get breakfast." She said as she moved towards the kitchens. "Gaidar!" was called out as she walked and she waved to those that called out to her. "Nani Gaidar, why is that Dedicated in here?" A Ji'dar asked her as they stood in line together.

"We had an early morning meeting. He'll be eating here with us this morning." She said as she asked for that meat filled breakfast for two that Calder had talked about. The cook took one look at the cloak and nodded. "I'll have a servant bring it out when it's ready." Nani nodded, and moved back towards the dedicated she had been bonded to.

"Trollocs eat human flesh, or their own. But I think perhaps, they're being kept in stasis. So that they don't kill each other, only being released long enough to feed on what ever is brought to them. That makes the most sense to me." She said as she watched him. Nani knew that Calder was disappointed with her lack of food on her return, but the look on his face when the servant brought two plates of the meal towards them was the greatest thing she had seen since she had obtained her fancloak.

"Enjoy your breakfast Gaidar, and congratulations on your Fancloak." The servant said as he set down the plates in front of them with utensils.
