Ravak
Mordjen and the rest of the Tower Guard were now under Julian's unofficial remit, so Ravak had not known the state of affairs between Kaira and her roommate. He would have, had Mordjen caught them doing anything untoward. Thus far that hadn't seemed to be the case.

Rav did nothing as Kaira made mention of tea. He should have, officially speaking. Novices were only allowed to channel in the presence of a more senior channeller. Looking at his daughter, seeing her not just as Kaira but as a woman in her own right, Ravak decided an exception could be made. He wasn't about to brandish her with a penance immediately after having made up.

Well, that was until the loud crack that immediately preceded the explosion. He got his right arm in the way of the worst of it, deflecting shattered pottery with the dragon embroidery. Seeing that Kaira was fine, he turned his attention back to the table. Luckily there were no papers on it. It was also fortunate that the water was still just lukewarm; he didn't have to go scampering to some Healer about a scolded arm.

Hanging his drenched sleeve away from the tabletop and chair, Rav's attention shifted to the impractical task that Kaira was attempting to accomplish. She paused to look at him, then laughed. "Please, don't get me in trouble. I won't tell if you don't!"

Snorting, Rav stood up, but only to close the door. One moment an independent woman; the next his daughter. As the latch clicked shut, he smiled calmly. "I'll let you off this time. That's not my first teapot, nor will it be my last." He wanted to add something about novices and channelling, but thought better of it. He didn't care for the teapot, nor did he desire to get Kaira into trouble. But still, the teapot was a concern. Maybe that's why she's still in whites.

He took his chair again, although he shifted it away from the table ledge, in case any of the water dripped down. "Maybe you ought to try practicing that on Auntie Elia's teapot whilst she watches," he casually suggested. Elia wouldn't let anything happen to her teapot, that was for certain. Plus, maybe she could do with the guidance.

"Is there anything you need?" He was back to being Daddy; he couldn't help it. "I mean, aside from a cup of tea?"
