First Weaver of the Yellow Ajah

It is regret that I announce we have had to remove Miliane Sedai from her role as First Weaver due to inactivity.

This leaves the role of Head of Ajah open and in need of a new leader. With three fully raised, active members of the Ajah--Seth Asha'man, myself with Gareth Asha'man, and the newly raised Betrys Sedai--the choice is down to a discussion between us.

Cheiron and Astarte: Do either of you have interest in being First Weaver?

For your consideration:

The duties of Ajah Heads are:

• To read the OOC Hall of Sitters MB regularly, and express their opinions on issues.
• To participate in votes of the Hall.
• To either keep the Ajah pages updated, or appoint a Webmaster/mistress, and ensure that he/she does so.
• To appoint Sitters as needed according to IC reasons.
• To make sure Aspirants to the Ajah always have somebody to roleplay with for their interaction.
• To be available to answer any questions about the Ajah OOC.
• To make sure someone from the Ajah is available to participate in RPs where the Ajah's presence is required.
• To be present during threads in the IC Hall of Sitters, as necessary.
• To promote, recruit, and otherwise work to strengthen the Ajah.

(Some of the above tweaked from the Ajah Head page to reflect the fact that the Hall is now open and Sitters are not required to represent the Ajah solely.)

From an in character perspective I am not sure that Betrys would even consider the role as one she'd ever achieve/aspire too but it could certainly happen (inner Betrys bounce) - however, that being said I'd need to be shown how to do some of those activities/actions but I am certainly willing either to just help out or to assume the role if no one else will take it on board.

Having only recently gained the Ajah I definitely want to see it both grow and thrive as much as possible. I have intentions to develop Betrys that may/may not encourage others to be interested in the Ajah and/or interactions with its members.

In terms of In Character matters, Seth or Gareth would be the more logical choices because they've been long term members and Betrys is newly raised... Out of Character, though, enthusiasm counts for a lot and everything can be taught.

I would be willing to take it with Gareth, but only if both of you wouldn't think I was "power grabbing" -- what with being Amyrlin and all. I would happily have either of you instead, though. (Meaning I'm willing/happy to, but hardly jumping up and down or stamping my feet...)

I am happy to do it (with some help over all the things initially) but if Cherion would like to fill the role that is perfectly fine with me.
My we healers are a power-hungry bunch eh? HEHE (not)

That being said if Cherion wants to fill the role In-Character and I can handle the behind the scenes stuff, we could try that out? If it helps...

I would have been happy to use my lovely lass if Betrys hadn't just been raised to the Aes Sedai rank.
So PSC it is! - Cherion, any thoughts/opinions?

If Bella would like to do it, I would not think it was power grabbing, as we are all adults and all Ajah decisions should be made together, not executive motion

If Astarte would like to have the position OoC and PSC a Yellow as the head IC, I have no problems either.

Seth has been the First Weaver before, albeit temporarily because I was the only Yellow active, but due to my relative inactivity IC I don't think I can really hold it down well enough. I participate OoC, so the OoC parts aren't a problem, it's just keeping up with the IC parts.

So, I see fit to say either of you can have it, with my full support for whoever takes it, unless you both decide to give it to me in which case I need to get my ass into gear

*smiles* Given that she is enthusiastic, active, and friendly, I say Seth and I can reach agreement for Astarte to be the new First Weaver. You can use a PSC until such time as you feel Betrys is ready for the role IC. I would prefer a PSC to an NPC, so if you'd be so kind as to come up with a PSC and put in an application, that would be lovely.

There really isn't much to it, so don't be daunted: be available to your fellow Ajah members and aspirants, write lots, be a presence. Talk in the Hall, vote. And that's pretty much it. You can elect Sitters if you want, but it's no longer a requirement with an Open Hall, so only if you see fit in an IC sense.
