Tamora had known the answer from the one word question that Miahala had repeated, and she inwardly sighed. Yes, it would never get easier, as the Gaidin were there to guard the Aes Sedai and the Asha'men, and they would do that and give their lives. They say it as their penance, their duty, and none could talk them out of it. It was the way he had been, Jenin, and Light, she missed him so much.

She looked back to Miahala as she spoke, nodding her head along slowly to show she was listening. She wanted to fight against the words, to claim she would never Bond again, but then she knew that would be pointless. She would, she would be encouraged to, no Green Sister was an island, she needed someone to watch their back. It was what the point of their relations with the Training Yards, they needed some of the best warriors by their sides. But if she Bonded again, then she would never given them her heart.

"So it does not get easier, but you can get used to the pain and how to heal from it." She said, and sighed a little. "Maybe I should not give my heart to someone who is doomed to die as most Gaidin are. We all are but they may well are before me." She had no idea of that made sense, but she goped it did.

Miahala had heard this before. Blood and bloody ashes, she had said it and, well... Her wedding ring glinted off her finger.

"Take it from an old Aes Sedai," Miahala said with a rueful smile, "but...never say never. Don't try to plan your heart. Don't try to write out the course of your life before you've even lived it. We are all destined to outlive those who do not channel. Husbands, wives, warders, children...but the pain does not make it worth it to have never had those things."

She patted Tamora's shoulder briefly. "It hurts most now, but the intensity will lessen. Live your life. Do not focus yourself on closing off because I have never believed that we could truly be invested in helping the world if we are not a part of it. Maybe you will find someone you want to bond. Maybe not. Maybe you will fall in love again. Maybe not.

"Just...let it be and live the best you can. In memory of those lost, in memory of those yet found, and for yourself. We best serve the people when we are at our best as well."

Tamora heard the woman's words, and she knew that they more than likely made perfect sense. But still, Tam had loved twice i her life, and she had seen both loves taken from her. At least I only felt the pain of one of them. She thought of Arran, her betrothed when she had been a girl, and not known she was to be an Aes Sedai. How they had been kidnapped, wanting the secret of her family's Fish Oil Shoels, though she had given nothing up, even when Arran had been killed before her. It was an old pain, but still a notch in her heart, a small one next to the newest. Would it truly ever get better? She knew to be a Green was to fight and suffer losses, but she had not thought to suffer one so soon.

"Maybe..." It was all the answer she could give. After all, that was all life was, ifs and maybes. Except the Final Battle, that was a certainty.

"Thank you, Miahala, you have been sweet to listen to me cry, words you have probably heard from a dozen Sisters by now." She placed down her empty tea cup and run her hands over her skirts. "Maybe you can make use of me while I am here, I plan to stay in the Tower for a little while. Maybe I could put some Soldiers and Accepted through their paces?" SHe would need to stay busy, and if that did not help her sleep when she would visit her friend in the Yellow halls and ask for something that would aid her, and hopefully with no dreams.

"Oh, the young ones always need an experienced hand to help them along," Mia said, although her tone suggested the warmth she felt for the next generation.

As Aes Sedai, former Mistress of Novices, former Amyrlin Seat, and a mother, she very strongly believed that the future belonged to the young. That even though she would live many a century more--if it was woven so--she still believed the youth shaped things around them more than she did.

Pausing, she considered this for a few moments. "One of the teachers who has been in charge of young ones learning about the Shadow and its spawn has needed to take some time away. Perhaps you could cover that class for a while?"

OOC: The roster says Tamora is a Shadow Specialist, so I thought this would be a good "in" for her? :)
