If the Aes Sedai did not like her sitting on the chair, then Dianlinn did not notice it. She was used to sitting on the floor, only sitting on chairs when specifically asked to, or when she ate in the mess hall. She could not get away with sitting on the floor then, as they would not let her eat unless she was sitting on a bench. She always joked that she was not a chief, but it was a jest that no one here got. It made her feel quite alone. But now she just sat and ate and spoke to those who spoke to her. She was no good in making small talk, and most of the recruits and Gaidin knew that now.
Once the Aes Sedai had re-positioned her chair, and Dinalinn had agreed to do this, she watched as the woman began to stare at her. She felt a little strange to be watched in such a way, but she continued to sit the, her legs crossed. After a moment she looked towards the chair that was off to her side, and then back at her lap, anywhere except at the Aes Sedai before her. She licked the corner of her lip and looked back to the chair again, her head tilting that way, but she did not move.
"Aes Sedai, are you doing anything or are you waiting for a sign?" She asked, feeling odd just sitting there, though her eyes flicked to the chair, and then back again to the neat and tidy women on her chair.
