Bastian quirked a brow and smiled wryly at Ravak, “I have no issues surviving under the stars on my own, but. . .they say the Wheel weaves as it will. Perhaps there’s a reason the two of you happened to be near by in my time of need.”
He paused long enough to tear off another bite of meat and swallow it down, “I have nothing holding me here, and I can travel light enough. What you see is more or less what you get. Just my axes, what clothes I’m wearing and me.” He tore off another chunk of venison as he looked back to the ruins of his cabin.
“I guess what I am saying is I’d be happy to join you. I will see what these warder yards are all about. Perhaps it will be a good fit both ways, and I’ll find myself a new life,” he rumbled in a fairly cheery manner for a man who just lost his home. “When do we leave?”
